The first step to repurposing your podcasts and videos is to create a transcript. From there, it can be transformed into so many different things!

Transcription is not a service I offer, partly because there are a ton of services out there that can do it much more efficiently. gets my vote for most accurate transcriptions.

Rev offers transcription services using either AI technology or human transcribers. The AI usually gives you around an 80% accuracy rate, while human is about 99% accurate.  The best accuracy I've seen is the human service offered by Rev. It is more expensive but the end result is much more usable.

I've also tried these AI-only services. They are convenient and inexpensive, but accuracy is hit and miss.

There are many other transcription services I have NOT tried. Most are in the same price range as the ones listed here. When I need a solid transcript, I go with because they are accurate and reliable.

Canva Pro - for a very reasonable monthly fee, you get a ton more features, images, etc. than the free version. Very much worth it, imho!

Try Canva Pro

Easelly - an easy to use online app to create eye-catching infographics

Grammarly - make sure you catch every typo BEFORE you publish! Get this browser extension for easy spelling & grammar review.

After you repurpose your content, what's the next step?

Publishing it out to the world so it can drive traffic back to your site.

And Pinterest is an amazing platform for that! It's so good at driving traffic that it gets it's very own tab here on my Resources page.

But to make Pinterest Marketing really work, you need to be consistent and strategic about how you share your content. And that's just a PITA unless you have the right tool.

Fortunately, the perfect Pinterest tool exists and it's called Tailwind.

Tailwind helps you do everything, including:

  • schedule your pins to publish (so you don't have to do it manually every day)
  • leverage Tailwind Tribes (a much better version of group boards)
  • analyze your results
  • discover trends on Pinterest

and much more.

Frankly, I wouldn't even do Pinterest without Tailwind. It's required, as far as I'm concerned.

So if you plan to include Pinterest in your content distribution plan (and I highly recommend that you do), Tailwind is what you need.

PS - Tailwind also manages Instagram, but that requires an additional subscription. It's a great tool all around so if that's your jam, take a look at that as well.

I feel like I have tried every social scheduling tool out there and my absolute favorite is Social Report.

Social Report is a very full-featured tool that easily handles multiple platforms, accounts, and clients.

The standard plan at $49 per month allows you to manage 5 different projects and each project can have multiple social profiles.

It’s awesome for anyone who manages social media for more than one brand or client because each “Project” gets its very own calendar, settings, and users. Very easy to understand and keep things organized (no accidental cross-posting!).

Social Report Features I love:

  • powerful reporting
  • drag & drop calendar scheduling
  • republishing
  • evergreen content
  • content groups

An email marketing service is a must-have for anyone serious about marketing online.

You DO have one, right?

If not, or if you’re looking for something better, I highly recommend ActiveCampaign.

ActiveCampaign is flexible, really powerful, and yet very affordable. As of this writing, you can start for just $9 per month for up to 500 contacts if you pay for the whole year ($15/mo if you pay monthly).

That’s a pretty decent number of contacts, especially when you know they only count each contact once (unlike other platforms who charge for duplicate subscribers).

And for that price, you can not only send out professional emails to your list as simple as pie, you can also make your life easy with as many automations as you like.

You know, things like delivering content upgrades, creating sales funnels, and all those things that build your business.

And imho, the automations are SO MUCH easier to work with than any of the other platforms I’ve tried.

Can you tell I’m a fan? I think you should be, too.

These are some plugins I love for my WordPress website:

    • Elementor Pro - super easy to use drag & drop page builder for WordPress. All of my sites are built with Elementor!
    • MalCare  - WordPress malware protection & remote management tool
    • Yoast SEO Plugin - Yoast is the most popular SEO plugin for WordPress because it's easy to use and makes sure you cover the essentials.

Resources for VAs & Freelancers

I am often asked how I learned the skills I use in my business. The answer is – a bunch of different places. I’m a fan of learning and am always looking to discover something new and exciting.

If I had to pick just one learning resource, this is the one.

Freelance University is my favorite one-stop shop where you can learn skills for:

  • starting a new online business
  • marketing and other elements of managing your business
  • offering as freelance services, including:
    • tech skills
    • specific softwares
    • online marketing
    • and much, much more.
Plus, they’re always updating and adding new courses.

And all of that is available for one flat monthly fee. It would literally cost you thousands of dollars to get this much training from other sources.

FreelanceU offers regular free workshops covering in-demand skills and more. Visit the link below to watch their latest Workshop for FREE and learn more about how to start your freelance business (or finally see success with the one you already have).

Pinterest is becoming a very important SEO tool if you want to drive traffic to your site. It's a key element of the content repurposing services I offer.

But there's a big difference between casually pinning for fun and using Pinterest for your business.

I've taken a bunch of courses, but this one is by far my fav. Cara Chace is the real deal and knows exactly how to use Pinterest strategically and she shares all the goods in her Pin Power Method Membership.

Whether you want to manage Pinterest for your own business or for clients, this is the go-to course.

Check it out here:
Pin Power Method

There is one really important skill that you will need over and over again – both for your own business and for client work.

It’s email copywriting. You’ll be amazed how often you find yourself staring at a blank screen, wondering what to write.

Most email list-building courses only talk about the mechanics of email marketing – things like creating lead magnets, setting up funnels, etc.

But here’s the thing – you can have the best funnel in the world, but you still have to figure out what the heck to write.

That’s why my choice for email training is Kate Doster. Her course, Love Your List, covers literally everything you need to know to really do it right.

She not only gives you the technical details you need, but she goes a LOT further and shares all the stuff other courses don’t include, like how to:

  • write good copy
  • make your subscribers look forward to your emails
  • craft landing pages for your lead magnets

And a ton more. Seriously – so much packed into this one course. It’s like an email course and a copywriting course, in one. And she’s another one who just keeps adding more goodness.

Now, this course is not cheap. It’s a real investment – but you’re better off biting the bullet and getting this one comprehensive course up front and get what you actually need, than to buy 50 other courses at $47 a pop.

Because no matter how many of those other courses you buy, you’re unlikely to get what Kate Doster is dishing out. The real goods. The inside track on how some people nail their email lists and pull in subscribers by the bucket load.

And this is a skill that will make a HUGE difference in your business, not to mention that you could then offer those skills as a service.

The Love Your List course is the one I’m talking about here, but it’s not open for enrollment all the time. So here’s what you do.

So sign up for her smaller course, Ditch the Ish, Propel Your List & Get Rich course (just $27) – which will be similarly packed with goodness – and when Love Your List enrollment comes available, you’ll get the notice.

Seriously, I’m not kidding. Love Your List is the one email course to rule them all.

So sign up for Ditch the Ish now, and save your money so you’re ready when Love Your List opens enrollment. It’s worth every cent.
