Please take a few minutes to read through this page
before scheduling your Get Acquainted Call.
A lot of questions are answered on this page which will make our actual call much more productive!
I established my business, A Clever Cat, in 2016 after 20+ years as a corporate Executive Assistant.
Working with Fortune 500 executives for all those years finely honed my attention to detail, organizational skills, and other skills critical to providing impeccable service.
During those years, I also helped friends and clients with their digital marketing and online businesses. I discovered I loved helping move the needle for entrepreneurs much more than being a cog in the corporate machine!
In my current role as a digital marketing and operations assistant, I partner with solopreneurs and other small business owners to reliably implement their marketing tasks with precision and manage their online systems.
My role in your company boils down to one simple thing: To relieve you of stress and overwhelm so that you can focus your time and energy on the things that only YOU can do in your business.
I provide intelligent digital marketing and operations support for online marketers and entrepreneurs.
By taking the time to understand your business and clientele, I can implement your marketing tasks and maintain your online systems without a lot of hand-holding from you.
I provide three levels of support packages:
The Elite package is ideal for the thriving business owner with a proven revenue model and annual earnings in the high 6 figures or more. Business is booming and you need priority access. You have systems in place and know exactly where your business is headed next. You are looking for a collaborative partner to support your business growth.
The Elite package starts at $2,500 per month. Get details on the Elite Package here.
Established packages are perfect for the successful entrepreneur working toward annual revenue of six figures. Your business is stable with a full or nearly full roster of clients. You have systems in place but they may need fleshing out and/or streamlining so you can move to the next level. You are ready to bring someone onto your team who can be proactive and help manage systems and operations.
Established Packages start at $1,000 per month. Get details on Established Packages here.
Emerging packages are made for the successful solopreneur who has been in business for a while, with healthy and stable revenue. Your business is growing and you may have some systems in place, or they may still need to be established. You are ready to hand over technical tasks and monthly maintenance items and get some help already!
Emerging Packages start at $750 per month. Get details on Emerging Packages here.
Great question! I work a little differently from most virtual providers in that I do not charge by the hour.
There are many reasons for this, including:
Many clients have cyclical calendars so one month they are heavy on work while others are light. If you are on an hourly retainer plan, this may mean an overage on hours one month while you lose hours the next, leaving you feeling like you’ve wasted money.
I’ve also heard painful stories from clients about working with VAs who reached their hourly allotment and just stopped working, leaving them high and dry. Or that they were charged for 3 hours for a task that really only took 30 minutes! So frustrating.
My own sanity
I don’t like tracking time when I can spend it helping my clients. My packages are created based on the client’s profile and I am paid for my expertise, rather than for my time.
Besides, paying someone for how long it takes to do a task is a little unfair when you realize that the better you get, the faster you are (and I’m pretty fast)!
This works for my clients as well because they don’t have to worry about how long tasks take, or how many hours they have left.
Cash flow clarity
Monthly packages provide cash flow clarity for both sides – for me and for my clients. We each know exactly how much we have coming in and going out each month, so there are no surprises.
Imagine your relief when you:
~ Stop feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by all the moving parts of your business (email marketing, blogging, social media, content repurposing, graphic design, website maintenance – and all the rest!).
~ Stop being the “go to person” for your entire virtual team
~ Get off the hamster wheel of repeating tasks (like spending hours proof reading and formatting a blog post)
~ Are confident your marketing machine is running smoothly without having to constantly hold your assistant’s hand
~ Know that your business systems are up to date in the hands of your capable, trustworthy assistant
These are just some of the benefits you’ll experience when working with me.
I work with people just like you. You love your business and are really good at what you do but don’t have time to – or just don’t want to – do the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance tasks that are a necessary part of business. Or, depending on the type of business you have, you may need someone to handle marketing tasks for your clients.
I work with many different types of clients, but they all have these things in common:
~ have been in business at least 2- 3 years
~ have a stable revenue-producing business model
~ have more than enough work to delegate
~ are looking for a long-term, collaborative partner to support their growth
~ value hard work but realize there is much more to life than that
I work with consultants, coaches, authors, speakers, and more! If you have an established online marketing system that needs to be implemented, we just may be a perfect match.
Please know that I’m very selective about the businesses and clients I work with and (gently) turn away those who aren’t suited for my services. My packages are NOT for those who:
~ are just starting out in business
~ don’t have enough money coming in
~ don’t have enough regular work to delegate
~ don’t have a proven revenue model
The last thing I want is to be a source of stress or a big expense that can’t be justified.
Additionally, I do NOT work with (without exception):
~ business owners without a clear vision of where they want their business to go and who accept responsibility for running it
Sometimes a business owner will want me to run their business for them and I simply don’t do that. I can help manage your business, set up systems and processes to improve efficiency and flow, but I can’t take over your business full time while you go live on an island. No hate if that’s your dream – who wouldn’t want that? It’s just not who I work with. If that’s you, I respectfully request that you move on and I hope you understand why. We would probably not work well together and I wouldn’t want you to waste time or money with me. Is that fair?
One thing that makes me different is that you will be working directly with ME. Not a team or put in a queue where it takes days to get a response, which you may experience with other companies.
The number of clients I accept at any one time is kept to a minimum so that you are guaranteed to get personal attention and quick turnaround.
I specialize in digital marketing and operations support rather than offering general admin services. My clients include coaches, authors, speakers, marketing consultants and others, but they all share this method of marketing. You may also hear it called content marketing or inbound marketing. This may include activities such as:
~ email marketing
~ social media
~ content repurposing
~ video content
~ and much more
No hourly rates
Finally, I do not work by the hour. I’ve found that business owners love the fact that they are paying for my expertise rather than my time and don’t have to worry about how long it takes me to do tasks. Plus, they aren’t hit with a giant invoice when they’ve had a heavy month or feel like they’ve wasted money if they didn’t use up their hours. It’s a win-win for both sides.
Here are some examples of tasks you can delegate:
~ Blogging – this may include formatting, SEO, graphics creation, proofreading, links, sourcing and inserting relevant images, image optimization, adding CTAs, content upgrades, scheduling, and other related tasks.
~ Email Marketing – this may include email drafts (including proofreading, formatting, image or graphics sourcing and insertion, headline, etc.), list maintenance, automation creation, scheduling, autoresponders, and more.
~ Graphic Design – content upgrade (aka lead magnet aka opt-in freebie) design, social media graphics, infographics, blog graphics, and more.
~ Social Media – this may include image and graphics creation and optimization, scheduling, caption creation, hashtag research, profile optmization, engagement, and more.
~ Content Repurposing – your podcast becomes a blog post, a slide deck, social media posts for Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, and maybe even a new product you can sell. Create content once and use it multiple times in multiple places.
~ Analytics – track website, social media, and other metrics on a monthly and quarterly basic. Create reports as needed.
~ Client Testimonials – never lose track of another testimonial. Create and maintain a collection of all the testimonials you receive, anywhere on the web (social media, your website, email, etc.) in one place and use them on your website and other marketing collateral. Updating your sites with new testimonials amplifies your good reputation!
~ Research – Need to switch social media scheduling tools? Want to set up a task management platform? I can research and identify good choices for you to try and assist in setting up and migrating to new tools.
This is just a sampling of some common tasks. There are many more possibilities, depending on your unique business and marketing system.
Online tools change often, and new ones pop up every day, as I’m sure you know! I love learning new tools and have experimented with many.
Here are my favorite platforms:
~ Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, etc.)
~ WordPress, Elementor Pro
~ Google Analytics
I have worked with many others as well and am quick to learn new ones.
If you are wondering about something in particular, just drop me a note and ask!
I like to make the process as simple as possible because I know you are very busy.
1. The first step is to read through this page fully in order to get a feel for what I do and if I am the best choice for what you need right now.
2. Next, we schedule a 15-minute Get Acquainted Call which will help us both determine if we are a fit for each other. During this call we’ll go over a few questions that will help identify what is working in your business, what is not, and how I can help you. By the end of this call, we should both have enough information to determine whether working together would be beneficial for your business.
3. If you choose to work with me, and feel that my services would be a benefit to you, we sign an agreement and move forward in the process of on-boarding you as a client.
Yes, I encourage it!
You’ll find client testimonials sprinkled throughout my site which are linked to their websites. See if one resonates with you, perhaps because the person is in your profession, industry, or maybe you even know them.
Feel free to email them and ask what it was like working with me.
Of course! If you have a couple of questions, just email me at email@example.com and I’ll be happy to answer.
